NOPE

Post  Frank Folb Jr on May 13th 2008, 8:24 am

I would not put that past them at all. But the main thing we should do as good stewarts of the beach and access is make sure we teach everyone to leave the clkosures alone. Especially the 16-21 year olds who will be borrowing Faf's truck to go for a cruise this summer. AND don't forget our young local kids who do the same!!

We don't need any more DODOs

DODO birds

Post  West Vir on May 12th 2008, 1:12 pm

Would you put it past one of the "environmentalists" who filed the lawsuit that started all of this to "vandalize" or remove the posted signs, in order to get another 50 meters of beach closed? Whats to stop them from doing that continuously in order to get all of the beaches closed and blame it on the opponents of the ban? Sounds fishy. Guess that is about the only "fishy" thing happening on Hatteras now. We left from the island on 5/4/08 and were just in time to see more closures, (disgraceful) - see you all again in the fall. If there are open beaches to come to.

Dodo Bird Siting??

Post  Save Hatteras Foundation on May 12th 2008, 12:08 pm

Def. “dodo”: Noun 1. One who vandalizes Park fencing, and ultimately diminishes the effectiveness of productive beach access politics. 2. One severely lacking critical thinking skills.

Let people know that all “dodos’ will make the www.savehatteras.com black list. We will add a “dodo” page to the site.
